the hub northland

The Hub Northland is part of Darebin City Council youth services. It is a vibrant drop-in centre offering free programs & services to young people aged 12 to 25 who live, work, study or play in Darebin. 

We have had the pleasure of hosting a range of weekly spaces each term at the Hub, such as ‘Collage & Chill’, ‘Time to Make’ and ‘Calm & Craft’ for around 2 years.

These programs offered young people:

• a safe space to be outside of home for a couple of hours

• a relaxed & warm environment to experiment with art materials

• pressure-free play for the sake of play

• an opportunity to chat with trained Art Therapists about what’s going on their lives

• a different and creative way to connect with social workers and other staff who join.
